ipilowe's wishes

This is my wish:

I would like to play in hexagon maps, but... little thing irritates and it is on movement :x In this image, you see red stickman(soldier) in hexagon map. In Freeciv soldier can move to tiles which have red dot. I don't see sense that soldier can't move to tiles with green circles but can move tiles with red circle surrounded by blue circle. My wish is that you change moving in hexagon maps that soldier can move tiles where is green circle and delete movement to the tiles with red circle surrounded blue circle. I hope you understood my text and answer for me.

It seems that your map topology (real topology of the game world) and tileset topology (how things are displayed on screen) do not match. It's unfortunate that current freeciv has no means to warn user about this. While you see haxagons (you have hex tileset), it's the red dot tiles that actually are adjacent to the square you are on. Try changing server setting "topology" to hex one (or isometric hex if you are using isometric hex tileset). (try "/explain topology" on client chatline, and some "/set topology HEX|ISO|WRAPX|WRAPY" -kind of command to set it)

Nuclear bomb

I would like to hear what people here think about nuclear bomb's power. In my opinion it is too weak. In last game what I ended I launched nuclear bomb to enemy size 8 town and its size reduced only two points. I think every town in this world would fall in to ruins by using nuclear bomb.

Yep, it is too weak in my opinion too. Perhaps it could be a good idea to be able to set the power of Nukes in a ruleset. Maybe it is too complicated to do it that way, don't know I am not a programmer.

I don't think that would be too hard. The code for the nuke explosion is probably one method, so when reducing city size it can just be changed there to use a number read from the ruleset. Bigger things may be spread over the whole code and thus difficult to change, but this is probably not.
