NekoTrident v1.0

Post by Neofox »

Hello, and sorry for my bad english!

This is my first tileset, in a pixel-cartoonized style based on original Trident tileset and I did it for a few days with my free time. So I decided to share it with you, I hope you like it and if you want, post suggestions about it so that you can improve it. Currently only the terrain and cities had their modified graphics in the future I plan to modify the units of graphic and other things of the game. Credits to the original Trident authors.

It actually looks pretty good, if not Serious Business.

...I was honestly expecting cat-themed units, though.

I really like this, especially the city graphics. How did you make them and can I steal them all?
Wishes he could convert Civ2's scenarios to FreeCiv...
But instead, he made his own tileset variants, RoundSquare and Sextant-enHANSed, and refuses to play on anything else. Check them out!

I would write him directly. He has made only those 2 posts a while ago. Maybe he gets an email notification.

To create cities, I use this method:

You can use them at will. ;)

Before I forget, I'm working on sprites units, doing some tests.

Ok, I think I can probably manage something like that once the muse strikes me again.

Are those frames of walking animation on those unit sprites? That's pretty cool!

Thanks, but i don't know if game units can have animations. It would be nice if every time units moved on the map there was a movement animation.
