Thoughts?
Sorry the late answer, I have been away for some time.
I have tested your "freecolstuff" on game, and your version looks like a clear improvement to me.
I'm also liking the row arrangement of your new Amplio2 units version.

Thanks for adding the animals to the wiki.

If I make another version of my ruleset, I'll try to include a kraken.
For now, I found this one: https://pixabay.com/en/octopus-meeresbe ... s-2871037/

@XYZ: The trident version of the bear looks great, and I guess the squid will do its job.

I have made a kraken for amplio and chess tilesets. It will be available in my next version of civ2civ3_earth modpack, but I'd like to share it here until then. I used CC0 image by Mysticsartdesign: https://pixabay.com/en/octopus-meeresbe ... s-2871037/

bard beat me to it, but here's a kraken I made from a Wikimedia Commons image.

I will let the 2 of them fight it out to see which I prefer.

I like bards more. :D

But there are plenty of empty spots for trident animals you can fill!

Your kraken looks good too.
But be careful with Wikimedia Commons images because many of them have Creative Commons licenses that are not compatible with GPL2 of freeciv. As far as I know, the only allowed images are those in the public domain, or released as CC0.

I see it coming that I will do all of the trident animals... Its not what I had in mind...

Btw. what about polar bears?

Edit: Storm attached... Or you want something more aggressive like a tornado?

Thanx to bard for the warning - turns out my squid kraken image is not free to use. So don't distribute it.

I thought it would be fun to try using both bard's octopus and my squid, but each terrain can have only one animal.
