I've properly created flatpak package of Progress game, so maybe it's good idea to create flatpak package of Freeciv-2.6?

Yes, I'm aware of it and add the category when it's missing, but maybe this should be split, a shorter page for players incl. Beta-testers, and the full page as is.

Iff you do it a flatpak would be a good addition on more distributions. Or in the future 2.6 section of this page for a release version.

Somebody was quicker(faster) and released Freeciv-2.5.7 (gtk2 client) on flatpak hub (https://flathub.org/apps.html). I will talk to this person to ask him about release 2.6, when it was made public. Flathub rules force maintainers to put only application in stable version.

Nice, but they don't say how big it is, they have no README, and the plain text org.freeciv.Freeciv.flatpakref does not answer any questions for a decent entry on More distributions. :(
