I have done some research for pixel art which essentially is the method of creating gfx for FreeCiv (it is a method of creating any pixel graphics), but the thing is I am experimenting with some styles I try to develop. So I took the Trading Post building gfx and redone the Yurt. This is what I came up with:

I will see what I can do with other gfx.

So far I have done almost all files for the Tribal part of the mod. You can soon expect that i will provide a download for the mod. I need to do one more gfx (stonehenge) and polish the ruleset files.

During the writing of the ruleset files i realized i forgot to create the Stonehenge wonder and appropriate gfx for it. So here it is:

I did it in 3d this time, then rendered it to 64x48 and tweaked the colors a little bit.

First testing version of the nextended mod for Freeciv, if someone wants to try it just download the zip file and unpack it in the Freeciv data directory. If during changing of ruleset the Client asks you to change the ruleset you must accept it either the mod wont work.

I'm willing to test this, but that Mediafart takes for ever!
But I'm sure it's a worthwhile effort.
The whole thing looks very, very promising...
