Call for community peace

Freeciv-Web calls on all developers and players and server operators to cease and desist all political / reputational / personal and other forms of warfare against each other. I propose that things like opportunistically propagandizing half-true claims with the rather obvious motive of causing commu...

Re: Freeciv-web not releasing the source code?

Everyone knows you guys are Op42 or "Cobra" or whatever you want to call it, looking for any excuse to do political, technical, hacker warfare against us. This might explain the current campaign which some people don't know. They waited for the moment I go on vacation to STRIKE in Operatio...

Re: Democracy is too powerful (from FCW discord)

People can sometimes be smarter than Civ2, it's an old game. The hoop to jump through which proves you aren't an unqualified, is to actually explain it so far no one has... Civ2 dynamic is that gov is like tech, each one higher is better, so higher tech "democracy" is best of all... simple...

Re: Freeciv-web not releasing the source code?

Not true. FCW has a big problem with a server which is a licensee of our AGPL code but not publishing it. They want to access all of our code but not expose their own. In this way, hope to gain some competitive advantage. The usual enemies of FCW are propagandizing it and everything they say you sho...

Re: Freeciv-web not releasing the source code?

Maybe this explains the not yet answered question I had in this thread - "MP2-Caravel officially released on freecivweb.org" http://forum.freeciv.org/f/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=91969 about their github repo not being up to date. baby we have people threatening wars and legal actions as th...

Re: Freeciv-web not releasing the source code?

FCW holds forum.freeciv.org as sacred ground for players and developers to have good ideas. Please be loud against anyone using this forum for their local "my server is better than yours" politic wars.

Re: Art required for freeciv proper (3.0)

OK, included here are 2 castles, I will discuss why 2. A special thing about the castle base type, is it hides the units inside. So in a way it is more like a city that hides what's inside. After doing art and testing, I discovered that this makes a user experience issue! 1. The art can be like othe...
