Re: Hex tileset needs very large y offsets, problems ensue

Most of the stuff on tiles does not have a special offset anywhere, and offsets must be made by manually editing the image files. Feel free to take a look at for reference or ripping anything from my isophexbig tileset to help you. Though yes, there tends to be a rather large amount of whitespace, t...

Re: Civilization V civics - Freeciv

Just curious, but how much of this could be cobbled with the current version using some kind of small wonder system?

Unit AI commands

Two Unit AI commands that are somewhat painfully missing are "Explore and Raid" and "Counterattack".(Notably the counterattack seems to existed at some point in the past) "Explore and Raid" - Similar to the explore command, except when adjacent to an enemy unit or city ...

Re: new FreeCiv mod development - NExtended

I would also like to see an option to limit the unit number per tile which again is defined in a "size" so we can for instance have one tile with five small land units or 2 big and one small land unit or whatever other combo. Cities would have more "capacity". Id like to hear so...

Re: Explored, but Fogged Tiles on Minimap Black

Yeah, paintnet is pretty great. Would be nice if it had proper sidebars, but the layers and partial transparency really help make things easy to fix up. Good to know on the transparency too. Currently messing with jungle and forest tiles, looking much better than the resized isophex stuff.

Thanks Handuman, I was planning on just using it directly, but I think I'll try out paintnet.

Re: Explored, but Fogged Tiles on Minimap Black

yeah, i found it within a minute last night, unfortunately no matter how i poked and prodded openoffice, it won't let me make a 50% transparent tile. Could someone please make me a black, 50% transparent PNG image that is 128 pixels wide and 64 pixels tall?

Re: Explored, but Fogged Tiles on Minimap Black

Ah, thanks Caedo, I have the same file used, but I'm wondering if it's actually drawing a translucent fog tile over them, one which has become opaque black on my tileset (due to not being able to edit partial transparencies). Maybe I can track it down and do something with it. Thanks for the help.

Hmm, so it is, in that case, where is the color declared so I can fix it? :P

Explored, but Fogged Tiles on Minimap Black

Is there a setting to have the explored, but fogged tiles on the map display on the minimap? Having only the unfogged tiles makes it rather useless for use as an actual map of the world.
