Re: Revolting Cities + Newborn Nations
I know. I was thinking more about single-player experience here. And, also, my approach to this game might not be the same as most people: coming from Dwarf Fortress, I really like the motto "losing is fun", so this might explain why I like to add challenges like this. I admit that in Free...

Re: Revolting Cities + Newborn Nations
Perharps we could add some challenge in taking care of cities? Ok, I admit that I'm thinking more about realism than gameplay here, but I think it would create more interesting, umpredictable matches. The idea here is once you create a large empire, with lots of cities and land, you pretty much beat...

Revolting Cities + Newborn Nations
-I've talked a little about my idea of revolting cities once. My idea would be to make cities which are in disorder for more than a certain number of turns actually revolt against the player, and gain independence. Basically, this would mean this new city would be a new nation/player/AI added to the...

Re: Revolting cities
Yes, it would be only a matter of adding this "revolutionary city" feature. Do you think I could add this editing some rulseset, or I need to edit the source code?

Re: 'Plague' is very confusing in the classic ruleset
How exactly does plague work? I've enabled it in one of the rulesets, and now the game displays the plague probability in the city window, but I still don't know when a plague happens, or what effects it has in the game

Earthquake =/= Fire
Both earthquake and fire, if I understood the rulesets correctly, cause the demolition of a random building within a city. My point is why have 2 different disasters with the same effect? To diferentiate earthquake from fire, I think earthquake should not only destroy a random bulding, but also redu...

Re: Revolting cities
Yes, I was thinking about more than one revolt. To be fair, I just wanted more reasons to prevent an empire from growing too large, or to last forever (sooner or later, all empires will fall)
