Re: how to calculate the opposite tile of the world

Could you help me please? It depends on the "topology", e.g., if you have "WRAPX", but not "WRAPY", you get hard northern and southern borders (the poles, all glaciers unless you set "alltemperate" or hot average temperatures to melt the ice.) If that's your ...

Re: Introducing the Freeciv-web blog

Check out The Battle of 100 Freeciv AIs on the Freeciv-web blog: http://play.freeciv.org/blog/2015/04/the-battle-of-100-freeciv-ais/ There was a German Heise report about that back in April with lots of comments. Heise (formerly also known as TheH) is a kind of Slashdot, they publish several Comput...

Re: Having trouble loading Ancients modpack

I'm not entirely sure what to do next. As Cazfi said, or visit the wiki  In theory it shouldn't be too hard to add the about ten missing units to Amplio for compatibility with Ancients. Somebody tried that with Ampcients. The main problem are the marines, an ancient marine is no Amplio mar...

Re: Freeciv usage statistics for 2014

can we -Windows players- could get a little more attention? Maybe I'm crying at a blue moon... What exactly are you missing? Apart from the rather hilarious "nobody knows exactly since when and why Windows 2000 is not more supported" detail everything on the Windows side is good enough fr...

Re: Freeciv usage statistics for 2014

unfortunately Windows specific bugs are not as easily investigated as those bugs that affect also Linux Naive thought, something working under Wine should work with any Windows, or do I miss too many clues at once? And if that's the case (obviously it must be the case, but I don't know why), what a...

Re: Freeciv-2.5 art status

New activity icons. Fortress/Airbase/Buoy building activities have got their own icons (scaled down version of the base being built). Road/Railroad/Maglev building all still share the same 'R' icon. Unit 'Convert' activity has no icon of its own at all. bug #20032 The old A is free for Railroad. Wi...

Re: Amplio1 (tileset Amplio with some improvements from Ampl

it is missing the "map2oil/intro" Yes. somehow I managed to lose intro.png when I split the files in two parts, fix attached. About the random matches: something useful that I didn't know. I certainly also didn't know it before an experiment. README.graphics is an intro to an interesting ...
