Re: Gamemaster powers
A GM doesn't have to play the game to be able to exercise his powers. Administering is done from outside the game or by using command line which can be done by simply logging in as an observer. Okay, so in G19 and games in the Andreas era, what was the rationale, if any, to having a player also hav...

Gamemaster powers
I have the impression that there was no formal institution of a GM until 2018, maybe I'm wrong. It's a good idea, keeps things from totally descending into Thomas Hobbes law-of-nature (even though I know that would be fun for some). However, seems to me there's also some real potential for conflict ...

Installing client on Mac OS
This has probably been asked before, but is there an instruction manual for installing the Freeciv client on a Mac OS? (I won't say publicly which OS I've got, such is our day and age.) Thanks!

Re: Middle-Earth multiplayer scenario
Hey friends, I've gotten a new job. That's why I'm not around much either here or on Discord. When I finally signed into Discord today I found several PMs asking for updates about this idea. Apparently people like it! I'm really happy to hear it and I'll try to dig out some time for it but I can't p...

Re: Making every unit a partisan
Goddamn that some crazy shite. Why we never tried it in our old server? ... Same rules as normal? You'll need to ask Prospero about the old server. Turns out we were playing very much a "house rules" style of the game. Yes, the standard multiplayer ruleset for the Web. Que two friends con...

Making every unit a partisan
What I mean by "making every unit a partisan" is partisan in the historical WWII sense, not the sense of the in-game Partisan unit. Hear me out: It's kind of a shame that when a city is conquered, all of the units it supports die. It would be much more interesting if there there was a rand...
