If you don't like the culture feature, it's easy to turn off culture victory in the settings. The supplied rulesets have not done a lot with implementing culture, and it is possible to do a lot more with a custom ruleset. I'm working on one.

So when I share vision with the Brazilians and the Babylonians, then the Brazilians and the Babylonians get shared vision between them?

Testing 3.0.0-RC1, weird thing happening with allies and shared vision. In this game, I've had shared vision (both) with 2 allies. Suddenly, on the same turn, both allies say "sharing vision is no longer safe" and turn it off. I do likewise to both of them. Next turn they both pop up diplo...

I noticed it happening with "aifill" and "animals", didn't test others.

Also found that other things in [settings] in game.ruleset sometimes don't take effect when starting a new game, the values that were previously in effect remain. Possibly related, hopefully this will all get fixed with the new tickets.

Poking at this some more in 3.0.0b3, I'm seeing a bug with some of the supplied rulesets. I did the apply and save, and my freeciv-client-rc-3.0 file contains autosaves="GAMEOVER|QUITIDLE|INTERRUPT". Start the client, choose "Start New Game", from next dlog choose "More Game...

Tested and found that you do need both action enablers. So "DiplRel" req value of "Alliance" isn't true for teams. Is it worth filing an enhancement request ticket?
