FreeCiv Version 6.0 - Pollution and Population
I would like to see in the city display a " p " if there is pollution in the city. I keep missing the graphic representation of pollution in the view mode. The demographic report needs to display the rate of population growth (1st, 2nd, 3rd). Knowing if you are first is good, but you may b...

Expand Horizontal Dimension of the Set-up Screen
My monitor has a high resolution (2560x1440) screen. Consequently the set-up screen gets truncated. The set-up screen can be expanded, but that has to be done each time. Two possible approaches to fix. One, make the set-up screen larger horizontally. Two, have the computer remember the dimension.

Re: Barbarians
Thanks for the advice. I do use Democracy as the government and I select the highest science rate possible. All thoughts are appreciated on how to improve the game.

Re: Barbarians
I've noticed that. I have also noticed that even when first on literacy, I can be last on research bulbs in many cases.
Even late in the game, when I am both first in literacy and first in population; I can still be last in research bulbs.

Apollo Program and the World Map
According the the rule set for the Apollo Program: "The entire map becomes permanently visible to the player who owns it ...". I find that to be incongruous as in the real world everyone has access to the world map. Additionally freeciv has the AWACS unit. With that in mind I would like to...

Barbarians
A major irritant is that barbarian units seem to be invariably technologically ahead. This has the undesirable effect of forcing city wall construction, warrior code, and researching gunpowder. Of course this can be partially alleviated through the game set-up for barbarians. Nevertheless, I would l...

Population Growth Indicator
Under the "demographics" tag, freeciv displays your population ranking compared to the other nations. While that informs you of your ranking, it does not inform you concerning whether your ranking is improving or declining relative to the other nations. Note that there is a research speed ...

Thanks. I was begging to recognize that might be the situation.louis94 wrote:Yes (for LAN games). The client starts a server too, but you can't connect to it from another computer.Steve R. wrote:So is the terminal command "freeciv-server" the appropriate method of implementing a multiplayer game?

Establish Multiplayer Game on Local Network (LAN)
Apparently I am confused concerning the " appropriate " method of setting-up a multiplayer game on my local network (LAN). I just installed version 2.5.6 and I am using Ubuntu 16.04. When I boot freeciv (in the graphic mode), I receive the message: Starting local server... Welcome to the F...

Agree. My eyesight is very poor. The ability to enlarge would be beneficial.
