Instead of clicking properties button, try to open properties dialog by middle-clicking on tile. Then the dialog lists everything on that tile. (Seems to also remember it so that if you close the dialog and then open it with the button, it still lists what was in last selected tile) What do you mea...

In normal Freeciv(not Freeciv-web) the specialist control is in the top-left corner of the city screen. But I don't know how it's done in Freeciv-web if it's not the same way.

I'm pretty sure it does. In the ruleset file, every nation group has a likelyhood factor for picking a nation of the group if one has already been picked. Though, some nations are in multiple groups, so it's never absolutely sure.

If you make sure to nat have any contact and not crossing the AI's border after the first cease-fire treaty has been made, they'll usually accept a peace offering.

EDIT I also found that the AI are not charged shields for settlers. One city is being charged one shield for one of 3 triremes and nothing for the other 2 and nothing for a settler - all appearing as being supported. It's like playing chess against a computer opponent, who is not bound by the rules...

No, the AI is intended to only use knowledge a human player in its position would have.

Yes, there is a reason. If you check, for example, data/amplio2.tilespec, you'll find that it includes misc/flags-large.spec and misc/shields-large.spec. Other tilesets, like trident(I think) include misc/flags.spec and misc/shields.spec since they need smaller flags/shields. The game is desinged to...
