Ideas for Spies
I always thought that changing how the way spies work could add much more to play strategy, as well as to realism. I have some proposals, few of them are inter-compatible, and some are harder to implement. Anyway: 1. Disguised/chamaleon spies By default, spies could be seen as spies only by the owne...

Re: Abolish Sea and Continent Identification Number
I think it is enough if the client doesn't show it.
If someone uses modified clients... well Ithink it is not welcome in our games!

"Disable tech transfering altogether" option
In GreatTurn I faced a problem: I would love to setup a game with NO POSSIBLE trasnfer of tech either wanted or non-wanted between 2 nations. The reason is that this way players are encouraged to specialize in some tech branch without any leakage of techs between players, either friends or foes. How...
Re: Longturn
it would be nice if it could move towards a less admin-heavy approach so that it's easier to casually set up a game without what seems to be an amazing level of dedication to managing the game, writing scripts, dealing with issues etc. that is currently needed. I agree, but this wll be achieved whe...
Re: Longturn
Longturn gaming is online multiplayer(not Freeciv-web) with 24-hour-turns, so a big group of people from all over the world could theoretically play together. You log on at least once a day and make your moves, maybe have a conversation with the leader of a different civilization etc... That sounds...

Re: Financial management

Let's say you have a box which says you will pay X amount of gold / turn for Y turns, you could set up a treaty which says your ally gives you gold now, and you pay it back over time. The treaty window could c...

Toponimy
Last chapter of my reposting of old posts in civland forum. This time it is clearly a feature almost exclusively interesting for big multiplayer environments such as longturn or greatturn, but some of those lonely single-player empire builders out there could find the idea much interesting. Here it ...

CityWorkingTiles & Borders algorythm
Again, an old post of mine from GreatTurn/CivLAnd forum. Some intricated but I think it is an important matter. IMHO, We have to redesign CityWorkingTiles (tiles that a city can work) & borders algorythm. They both should be movement-terrain-infrastructure-sensible. E.G.: The territory (borders)...

Re: Financial management
Turn of payment should be relative (i.e. "current turn", "+1", "+2"...), to avoid conflict or confusion if pact is approved in a different turn than it is proposed. Also, a proper resume of due payments should be showed somewhere (F5 window?), along with the button to c...
