Re: Battle For Wesnoth modpack

There is lot of incompatibilitie between Freeciv and B4W. Mainly, FC allows any number of units per tile that makes very different warfare. Then, Wesnoth units may have individual terrain speeds when Freeciv unit either can enter terrain or can not and there are only 3 possible speed modes 2 of whic...

Re: Trade report

It would be nice to have a trade report with a list of all trade routes from and to cities of your civilization, and informing the cash flow from each trade route. It's hard to manage something without clear information. It would be interesting to have a button to cancel a trade route (and another ...

Re: Create land tiles over sea

Engineers that can reclaim sea are pretty far in the tech tree and you need territory in the start of tge game to keep the pace. Yes, starting positions are often not that fair, lots of myltiplayer gamers will tell you it. Maybe they could be calculated better by tge map generator.

Re: Cruise missiles and Bombers

Cruise missiles and Bombers run out of fuel if travel to some more distant cities. I understood the 2 turns principle but because of it it would be nice if these units travel 2 or 3 times more tile to make it more useful because at the current state it can be only use to wage war at the frontier......

There are governments or wonders that prevent inciting cities. AI sometimes uses them. But yes, it's a total moron about strategic map positions.

Re: spies options bug

There is such a thing like action enabler - requirements for the actor and the target that determine what your unit can or can't do. It is (AFAIK) evaluated server-side when your spy tries to enter a city or you use Combat-Do... menu. Maybe at the ruleset you use you can't sabotage at certain cases.

Re: Nuke/nuclear

When you conquer a capital, the palace moves automatically for free to a random remaining city. Civil war (if enabled by game options) is a chance event, the basic chance you can find on the civ's government help page, and it's modified by number of cities celebrating/in disorder. Nuke in Freeciv, i...

Re: Initial money

Only by hacking the sources (GAME_MAX_GOLD constant). If you want effectively endless gold, you'd better tweak the ruleset by adding 10 gold output to each city center (but note that it's not much a somplification if all nations get the same!), but if you don't umderstand what am I talking about, yo...

Re: Civil disorder

I built temples in many cities and it stopped but there were 2 cities that ever temples, courthouses, and marketplace didn't work but when I transitioned from Despotism to Monarchy order was restored in these 2 cities. I didn't understood why. If you tax any part to luxury, then Monarchy may have l...

Re: Civil disorder

The same as at another governments: too many cities, too many citizens. In some games citizens of nations that you are in war with also contribute into unhappiness. Despotism and monarchy in most rulesets are much more tolerate to sending military units overboard than, say, democracy, and may pacify...
