If you want to play solo, the native client is trivial to install. Easier by orders of magnitude.

Re: Freeciv is best 11 of top 50 free PC games!
PCGAMER September 21 2013: "Freeciv: It’s Civ, right, but it’s free. Oh, if only the developers had thought of a way to express that in a name. We’ll just have to make do with a version of the classic turn-based strategy game that we can play in our browsers thanks to the witchcraft of HTML 5 ...

Re: Newbie Modding Questions
If you'd like to take part in an active fork coding community There's plenty of things to implement in freeciv itself, if one is ready to contribute ;-) https://osdn.net/projects/freeciv/ticket/ It all depends on the level of the cntributor ;) For example, even in my wildest dreams there is no way ...

Middle mouse button not working only on Freeciv
So, here's me discovering that the probolem isn't the mouse in itself. For quite a while I was certain that midclick simply isn't working. Re: Newbie Modding Questions
I also like the "Senate" concept in Mp2 (with governments such as Republic or Demcoracy, you can't declare war as you like it) The Senate is an original concept from Sid Meier's Civilization, only coped through most rulesets. I don't know how much experience in this you have. Modding has ...

Sim05 - New Longturn Sim game starting in a week
A Longturn.net Sim game is scheduled to start on Saturday, June 17th. (As always, slight delays are possible.) The game will be using the Simulation ruleset, whose goal is running a more realistic simulation of human history than is the case with other Civ rulesets. The game will be played with the ...

LT79 - Starting in June
The next LT game - the second to be played with our new Freeciv21 client/server - is due to start somewhere in June. The settings are still being decided - choosing between the LT traditional and experimental ruleset and whether the game will be hex or square-based - and if you care and you want to ...

Re: Freeciv Web Discord censorship log
It seems it is also forbidden to correct or clarify Lexxie's "tips". Tip of the Day - If you are away from a longturn game, then besides using the delegate command (see /help delegate), you can also do /away to let the AI control your workers and some other things. You can use GO...AND to ...
