Re: Making a new scenario

Aye. It seems the "t" must be followed by 4 digits to be acceptable to the save file parser. Although I have 256 lines in my map, while 650-670 error messages popped up.....

Re: Making a new scenario

*slaps forehead*

I finally noticed my syntax was off...instead of putting t0000=":::::::::::", I used t000=":::::::::::::". Derp de derp!

Re: Making a new scenario

I found those options to create a scenario...so I started a new game, set the map dimensions to 512 x 256, edited the scenario options, and saved it. Then I opened the saved scenario file*, copy/pasted my coastline over the original map, then tried to load it. The first red error message from the se...

Making a new scenario

I'm trying to start up a scenario...I generated a coastline and want to see it in action before I fine tune islands and paint terrain, so I added the scenario section and copied some bits from other scenarios, but I couldn't get the right magic words in the right order. :( Suggestions, please? If th...

v2.5 - Nationality conversion

I've often thought about creating my own civ-type game, but I don't have the programming proficiency...asides...I think citizens ought to convert faster/slower depending on the city's mood and presence of military units, also perhaps distance to nearby original nation's borders. ...Just throwing my ...

Re: HUGE earth map (500x250)

Cazfi: yup, you got it! Although I didn't know it was part of a modpack.

Arbogast: I let that game run until turn 205, it was taking about 7-8 minutes per turn...I'm going to try running 100 players while I sleep tonight.

Re: Some notes about the AI improvements in 2.4

The AI seems to play smallpox...lots of 4-6 size cities, close together (maybe I should fiddle with mincitydist), churning out units en masse. Whichever one grows fastest first, wins, all else being equal.

HUGE earth map (500x250)

I've been playing with the supplied Earth-based scenarios, running AI-games to see how they pan out. I've noticed the starting positions are....iffy. For the most part, nations start in their historical positions (except on the medium map). I assume the limitation is either in the nation definition ...

Re: mapimg colortest crash

I don't think I have MagickWand, unless it came bundled with something else, or was pre-installed. I'm currently on Windows 7.

Also, after reading Marko's comments in the bug report, I turned off isometric topology, and the color test saved GIF, PNG, magick PPM, and non-magick PPM images.

mapimg colortest crash

I just started playing with the map image command. I made a couple manual images just fine. When I tried exploring the command line options, the server says "Lost connection to server (decoding error)!" when I run /mapimg colortest. Does this happen to anybody else?
