Re: [2.6] Augmented ruleset modpack
Thanks for testing! - when attacking a town with a ballista from a galley, the defending phalanx prevailed, and destroyed my ballista. It is normal freeciv combat behavior. Of course it may be unrealistic for some sort of units, but you can imagine, that phalanx survived so many ballista shoots, tha...

Re: trireme on land exploit
Thanks, so it is intended behavior. I always unloaded units from trireme between turns, to avoid its lost. I understand, that this hack is to avoid such unloading/loading units manually - unfortunately this implementation is debatable. It is unfair that player didn't see stack, but must to fight wit...

Re: trireme on land exploit
Well, lets summarize to clear possible misunderstanding. There can be following cases: ship with land units on ocean: attacked is ship, if die, land units die - it is normal behavior. ship with air units on ocean: attacked is ship, but air units survive - it is weird behavior. ship with land units o...

Re: Patch for inciting revolt
Well, I've sent patch here http://www.hostedredmine.com/issues/797697 Only half of less (depending on diplomat/spy rank) of the gold needed to incity revolt can be lost during failed attempt to infiltrating city (diplchance), thus sending v-unit against empty city does make sense in case of high cos...

Re: trireme on land exploit
If a unit can unload and defend on a tile and has advantages in it, it will do, why it should not, if unload on the same tile is considered an action consuming no points? That's the logic behind the current behaviour. I see no logic now. Solution is simply - if you want to defend your trireme, unlo...

Re: trireme on land exploit
Fortified or not, the main exploit is, that you don't see what is inside but must fight with it, while middle mouse button fools you showing odds for trireme. In case of ship on sea, you fight with ship itself. There should be the same situation in both cases. Option to choose 'fight with ship' or '...

trireme on land exploit
When ship is carrying units, you are attacking ship, not unit loaded, right? Not in case triremes, if they can go along river. Your unit still see only trireme (and odds calculations are 99%), but when you are trying to attack, you must fight with units inside. What is worse, you can fortify unit an...

Patch for inciting revolt
When diplomat or spy was trying to incite revolt and was captured, what happened to the money prepared for betrayal? Of course, clever infiltrator is not keeping this money during first meeting, but he may be victim of provocation - defenders may ask for money first, or at least part of it, and the...

Re: Q: Does damage affect bombard rate?
OK, forget about. HP is drained, not attack, my fault.Corbeau wrote: I'm not sure what you actually said here.
Re-assuming: there is patch needed to take HP into Bombardment Rate account (similar to affecting movement points by HP)
