FYI There's Feature #692596 touching amplio2 files and which I'm about to commit tomorrow. Please make sure you use it as a baseline for any amplio2 modifications so you don't override changes made by it.

I've seen that with some versions of gtk+-3, and only in Windows, I think. No idea why it decides to organize the widgets in that order (and apparently we are not forcing the order but rely on gtk+ to organize them automatically)

2. Version 2.6 seems to mix its settings with previous version (i.e. located at same place and reused). :? I think they should be separate, even if the ability to access old saved games seems fine (even if this is in server rather than client). Is this about client settings? If client does not find...

So no chance to make it happen in 2.5 or 2.6? Both of those are already stable branches. They accept only bugfixes, not new features (2.5 has seen many releases already, and 2.6 we would like to get such a shape that it can be released soon - not to introduce more bugs or more stuff needing polishi...

Added support for a new tech_cost_style "Linear" Feature #695972.

This is the same formula that has earlier been used for calculating explicitly set tech cost values for civ2civ3 ruleset.

About 3.0: Version 2.6 datafile format freeze (d3f) milestone was at March 2016. It's unlikely that we will reach 3.0 d3f this year, so it seems that 3.0 is currently about 3 years behind 2.6.
