Re: Linux?
Where is the Linux version of the game? In the Downloads section I see downloads for Windows and MacOS and the only thing remaining is the source code. Do I have to compile it if I want to start a server on Linux? The only thing suitable for Linux that we distribute is source code, yes -- we leave ...

Re: Fighter movement
It's originally meant to fix the following situation: Fighter with 10 move points wants to go from city A to city B, they are 10 tiles apart from each other. However, there's an airbase inbetween which is in the middle. In that case, the fighter will fly to the airbase and wait for the next turn, t...

Re: Art required for freeciv proper
New required art ticket: patch #4166 We need icons for all the event types (message classes sent to client) Attached image shows the feature with current placeholder gfx. Is there a comprehensive list of the event types anywhere? (It's not just these two, I assume; http://freeciv.wikia.com/wiki/Eve...

Re: Problem compiling 2.0 and 2.1
Maybe bug #15973? This was fixed in 2.2.1 and later, but never backported S2_1 or S2_0. (I haven't checked if the issue actually applies to those branches, mind.)

What version of Freeciv did you do this test with, out of interest?

ATTENTION: Read me before posting images!
Unless you explicitly state otherwise, posting images in this forum implies a tacit acceptance that you license them for use under the GNU GPL (read http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html for details). This is the free software license that Freeciv is distributed under, and we can and will only distri...

Re: Art required for freeciv proper
Hm, two of those are dual-licensed GFDL/CC-BY-SA. Can we legally release them in Freeciv, which is GPL'd? There are definitely some licensing incompatibilities in this general area for both licences (but I haven't looked into it thoroughly).

Thanks. Raised as bug #21387, will probably get around to fixing at some point.

Stable release 2.4.1
2.4.1 is a bugfix release, fixing client and server crashes and including some AI improvements. See the full list of changes.
Source code is available in the usual place. Compiled Windows packages aren't available yet, but should hopefully arrive shortly; we'll post again here when they turn up.
