Re: LongTurn support in Freeciv-web
Would there be any interest in me creating and sharing full observer images of all the LongTurn games so far? Probably zoomed out a bit. Good or bad? This sounds really cool to me! This was done about 35 turns ago for g1 and g2, and there were strong reactions against it afterwards. Personally I'm ...

Re: Wish/priority/fix list
Thanks a lot AndrasR. From another thread: so much white... we really need much more colors to separate everyone lol. Only 4 colours are needed on a map to make sure no country borders another country of the same colour. Of course we kind of want to have our nations colour, but it would be far more ...

Re: Ideas for better online game experience
I agree that an army can't normally move at "normal" speed in enemy territory. But that doesn't mean that they can't use the roads at all. In the situation a country is totally undefended, they theoretically could move as fast as they can. Freeciv of course is a game, and the representatio...

Re: Ideas for better online game experience
Oh, Pungtryne, about Denmark being overrun in six hours... If you actually did some reading before making claims, you'd have realised that German army didn't advance 300 km in those six hours. They advanced less than 50 (in reality, around 20 except in a very few locations), but what made the war s...

Re: Ideas for better online game experience
Wieder, I think you have very good arguments and it sounds very interesting ruleset really. Will look more into this almost-rapture thing, unless you can explain it a little more.
I would like to try one of the games on longturn before I say more for/against aspects of it like restrictinfra.

Re: Wish/priority/fix list
I totally agree with Caedo. Also, this sounds like a 2 minute job (I'm sorry if it isn't but it sounds like just getting up a buttom in the interface making the right call to the server).

Re: Ideas for better online game experience
It makes total sense that if you have no units protecting your railroads/roads like in Denmark, that the enemy can use it freely. You can surely find 20 examples where the roads and railroads were protected. But that's not the point. We sure can find many examples of both cases. The point here, it h...
