Re: LongTurn Game 5 for Freeciv-web
Something very important is to make it very clear what rules and what settings the a new game has. Sure, it's posted on the forum, but I doubt many goes in here to check it out. I have talked to many players that thinks the same. Most want to stop playing, or has stopped game5 because of no tech sha...

Re: LongTurn Game 5 for Freeciv-web
I support this wait-time for units. Else this will be boring and slow for a long time with only 2 settlers and no tech sharing, but will probably continue playing it anyway.

Re: Wish/priority/fix list
Actually, I'd put a priority to creating the same options/features/interface/possibilities that the Civ Client has before implementing anything new. The client is almost perfect ( can think of a detail or two that it's missing, but nothing serious), and Web is seriously behind. So, smooth out the r...

Re: "Standard LongTurn ruleset"
I agree very much with Lexxie, but have some concerns about tech sharing too. This game is about building civillizations, and technological cooperation is vital in this. I disagree it's a popularity contest about finding biggest alliance. Sure, to be charismatic enough to find a good alliance is par...

Re: Wish/priority/fix list
I can see arguments against. I think that the optimal would be a checkbox in each city that lets you decide if workers get auto-assigned on city growth or not. There sure are situations where both would be usefull. Adding this suggestion. Note: I understand of course that this can be time consuming ...

Re: Wish/priority/fix list
I corrected an error, someone had put a minus-sign in front of the rating (scale goes from 1-10).

Discussion about the format of the longturn game
I thought we need a thread to discuss the format and our experiences of the longturn games. It's really cool with these huge games. Thanks to all developers, contributors and players for making it possible. I want to start the discussion with something from in-game chat. Many players seems to do jus...

Re: Wish/priority/fix list
I think I might got it now. The map grid is kind of off, compared to fog of war, so that some units almost gets invisible. Am I right?

Re: Wish/priority/fix list
I added message system. This might be the most important to work on right now. It seems many players don't know how to do private messages, or miss messages. As communication and diplomacy is so important in this game, I think this should be given high priority. Many I talk to feel the same way. I a...

Re: Transforming land issue
I don't believe this to be a problem for normal games. And most are actually doable in real life. But tundra to desert, or glacier to grassland, these transformations are probably a bit too much. Though, jungle to swamp, then to grassland is totally realistic. It happens all over the world that trop...
