Re: Where Are the Specialists?

Another useful feature would be the possibility to transfer unit ownership for support purposes. So if a unit is sitting inside city B but this unit was built by city A, there could be the option to transfer that unit's support burden to city B. That's H)ome command, but I don't know if freeciv-web...

Re: Yep--too hard to beat!

Nothing saves 2.3, and 2.4 receives only improvements that are considered bugfixes, but I'm quite pleased with some AI improvements I've managed to implement lately. I'm battling against myself - can I make AI good enough for it to challenge me as a player? Of course, improvements to one thing often...

Re: How to use the ingame Editor ?

Instead of clicking properties button, try to open properties dialog by middle-clicking on tile. Then the dialog lists everything on that tile. (Seems to also remember it so that if you close the dialog and then open it with the button, it still lists what was in last selected tile)

Re: control under Android

Freeciv and freeciv-web are not compatible with each other. You cannot set up freeciv server to play with browser-based client - you'd need to setup freeciv-web server which is a bit more involved process. However, your question soudns like you just want to play freeciv (and not necessarily freeciv-...

Re: Cheating AI

Having been recently introduced to some of the finer points of the game (Thanks, edd ) - the use of "observe" and "takeover" - I've come across a method that the computer uses to cheat. One of the AIs (located some distance from the human player) is belligerent and at war with a...

Re: No list on metaserver using an iMAC

When I start Freeciv(GTK2) I press "Connect to Network Game" and then press "Internet Metaserver". No list of servers appears. When my son was visiting he introduced me to the game and installed it on my MAC so we could play together. (He's 2,000 miles away.) While there's no ot...

Re: Cannot connect to SVN repository

Am I doing something wrong here? ...viewcvs... is web interface to brows...

Re: No list on metaserver using an iMAC

Do you mean that your server does not appear in http://meta.freeciv.org/metaserver.php or that your client shows empty list, or both? Server to appear on the metaserver, you need to start if with commandline option "-m" If you've got empty list client-side, check from the webpage that ther...

Re: Another Wishlist

So you're actually after cities growing faster - to need to get increase of difference between two granary sizes instead of total new size of food? That is: whne granary size 1 is 10, and granary size 2 is 20, you currently need 10 food to grow 1 -> 2, and 20 to grow 2 -> 3, but you'd want that to b...

Re: Crosser based Windows snapshot builds

I just uploaded first builds since freeciv S2_5 was branched. There's both S2_5 (development version of freeciv-2.5) and TRUNK/S2_6 (development version of freeciv-2.6) builds at http://www.cazfi.net/freeciv/builds/win.html
