In Qt 5.5 u can try QT_DEVICE_PIXEL_RATIO=auto freeciv-qt
In Qt >= 5.6 try QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR=1 freeciv-qt

Minimap has drag and drop, but dropping anywhere does nothing, dropping to chat makes game freeze and lose connection. Then it says please refresh, after refreshing game is lost and starts new game. I dont think so, don't know their plans but probably no. Mb they will release some crippled version with current knowledge and disabled learning or mb not. If u want to get nice challenge play vs 25 ai on map size 2, give ai some random difficulty, disable diplomacy for yourself only. It's quite fun...
