Re: Contributing a Soundtrack
A separate modpack which doesn't come installed by default doesn't sound very exciting... I think I get it... no prob... I'll keep posting songs now and then though to see if the mood changes. Freeciv needs a soundtrack ! I'm pretty sure your work will be used. Currently, it's not available in free...

Re: an easy question
Hello, For shared experience, see http://forum.freeciv.org/f/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=28 . Barbarians have no friends. They randomly appear somewhere and try to take nearby cities. Then they produce war units and try to take more cities. They are a lot weaker than regulars AIs because they won't eve...

Re: Tile info and unit update
Hello,
Louis
The unit also needs to be inside a city to be upgraded. For updating a Unit there is no building needed. After you have researched the Tech for a more modern Unit, you can select the Unit and use Shift+U to upgrade it to its more modern version.

Re: freeciv-web bugs
Hello,
The current version of freeciv-web completely freezes my X server when used with Firefox. This problem didn't show up with Chromium...
Also, I could reproduce on my desktop the bug IZY5O reported, with a browser that uses an old version of Webkit (Rekonq).

Re: Assigning action for next turn
I tried that and by mistake included the units in an adjacent tile! There is no need to draw a big area : I think all units of tiles that intersect with the rectangle are selected. I discovered this feature it by accident : wanting to move the map, I right-clicked while my mouse was still moving. A...

Re: Assigning action for next turn
Hello,
When you want to select all units on a tile, you can use the right mouse selection feature : just do as if you were selecting text, but with the right mouse button.

Re: Default Tech-Tree critical logic fails
Hmm, so the control bars are used as the main meltdown prevention rather than any kind of coolant? (Other than water anyway.) I guess ultimately just using a higher volume of water makes a lot more sense than having inefficient coolant systems that reduce power output instead. With control bars, yo...

Re: Default Tech-Tree critical logic fails
Hello, I do mostly agree with you. But nuclear power plants do not need Refrigeration tech at all. Nuclear Power does not require Refrigeration, how does it not melt down? Refrigeration is about active cooling, which is what refrigerators use. You need a lot of energy to do active cooling, but you c...
