min distance 10 is too high (and thats coming from someone who hates small pox) If you want a nice game use experimental AI hard , experimental ruleset, citydistance 3 or 4 is fine, towns can grow really big (100) in that ruleset, and pull citizens in from enemy kingdoms, its the best way to kill co...

if you move beyond half way the movement points, a fighter can no longer return a (stealth) fighter only has 1 normal turn of 14 movements, and it can attack as often as it wants, it has to land on a city or base within that turn. a (stealth) bomber has a 2 part turn, it can fly a mission of 12 move...

City view; units present strip needs the same unit properties as units supported strip. (fortify/sentry state, health) Minimap; minimum x/y size needs to be slightly larger Popup hints; ingame (main map view) popup hints text (middle click unit/terrain) is forced dark gray, overruling the gtk theme....

I noticed the gtk 3.22 version can print a whole map (game -> save map image) , but it doesnt use the isometric game tiles

yep for managing larger empires use the cities list manager, its very powerfull , you can for instance with 2 clicks instruct all your cities to build armor, and then buy them all too if you have the gold

the only real unworkable slowdown I know of is when you have trade routes displayed, other operations get very slow, in particular path prediction (goto) (GTK2 client)
