Looking at the version history it seems that our current icons are not derived from any .svg. We used to have .svg based icons, but then updated to current ones. Also, we don't have generic 'freeciv' icon, as there is not a single 'freeciv' program. Instead we have freeciv-server and freeciv-client ...

New RandomMovement unit type flag can be used to create unit types whose movement is not under player's control, but they move randomly around the map. hrm #699473

You may find these ones of the new 3.0 features useful once you update: ScenarioReserved player flag (makes player hidden / not selectable in pregame) and Stay unit flag (makes the unit unable to move, i.e., you can be sure that AI doesn't move it away from defending the spot where you set it)

Also: I think that code-wise S3_0 is quite ready for the 3.0.0 release already, but we could use a contributor who could improve (in some cases create) various helptexts and descriptions. Current team has no native English speaker at all.
