Re: Qt client on Android

Thank you!! I don't think I will revive this soon, but it is certainly something that I keep in mind. I agree that a mobile version would be nice for LT... My prototype could connect to remote servers (without password, but it can be added), but was hardly usable on a small screen. Performance was a...

Re: Freeciv APK

Zero interest from the core devs and low interest from other people. My focus drifted away from Android and I'm currently working on improving the longturn.net website and infrastructure. Some changes are already visible, a major update is currently being tested and I'm not yet out of ideas :)

Re: Freeciv APK

There's no official version for Android. I pushed a bit in that direction, but there was zero interest.

Re: Downloading Freeciv-web game for the desktop client?

Hello doyouhavemysauce,

I think it will depend on the type of game. For multiplayer games this is probably going to be a big "no", but for single-player there might be a way. You should ask Lexxie in PM.

Re: [2.6] Aviation ruleset

So let me share my first impressions on the strategy: Settlers costing 1 and creating cities at size 2 means that early growth is very exponential. You get 3 worked tiles by spending just one. The best early game strategy is max tax and build as many settlers as possible. Early attacks are impossibl...

Re: Playing Freeciv Totally BLind

Wow! That's truly awesome from Qt because I don't think the client was designed with accessibility in mind. If you middle click on a tile you get some infomartion about it, like what terrain it is and so on. Hopefully your screen reader reads the tooltip. For info, how do you usually navigate maps? ...

Re: freeciv-score.log

Three years ago I copied an old code, maybe from here, and adjusted it to work with the freeciv 2.90.99 format. It may still be compatible with 3.0 alphas, but it's Python 2 which isn't supported anymore.

Anyway here it is:
freeciv-score-log.py.gz
Forum doesn't like .py files, so gzipped it

Re: Autogen and relative prefix

There is no way to set the prefix to a relative path. $PWD expands to the complete path of the current directory.

Ignatus wrote:Yes, and you had a city with -41 balance or worse.
Or the balance went negative after processing the first N cities. It's not so unlikely in the common case where most of the income is coming from the capital.

Re: Qt client on Android

I just pushed an update that makes it much easier to create an APK. Most parameters can just be passed to configure (some paths are still hardcoded for Debian-based distros, eg the JVM).
