Set unit movement time to 0, and mapview recentering time to 0 (in local options -> graphics), in 2.6 or never set also - show automated units to false in local options -> interface. Btw dont let them to get rail and mechs, kill them with horses in ancient era :D In modern era block all entrance to...

Re: AI is totally lame
I wish if AI could be a partner in this game, but that is not likely to happen. I am speaking of the game against computer, and not multiuser, and at Normal level. I don't want to go for higher AI levels, because AI is cheating all the time, and I don't want that to be noticeable too much to piss me...

AI is totally lame
Lol, I wanted my AI ally to attack our mutual enemies, and so I built them a great city, with 70 or more units in it, mostly howitzers, so that they could use railways to attack and conquer enemy cities in the region, but all they did was sending almost all of the units outside of the city for hikin...

Re: Game goals? Why not diplomacy over conquering?
I rather agree. You're essentially saying that instead of killing everyone and ending the game, you have an eternal nation-building game? (As 'winning by diplomacy' would be covered by Allied Victory) Yes, a game of an eternal nation-building. There is no need for forcing the game to an end, everyo...

Game goals? Why not diplomacy over conquering?
Conquering of all other nations seems kind of a lame and destructive goal. I mean, you have built that many cities, and technologies, and everything, and the game must end. Why to bother then? Wouldn't it be more amusing if the game could never end, and also there is no limited number of turns? Why ...

Re: How to add an AI player to your team?
/help team or in gtk-client pregame -> push right button down on AI, select "Put on Team x". I don't understand where I have to put that code, but the "Put on Team x" option worked. I wasn't aware of that option, I thought it just meant to switch the places for players. Thanks!

Re: FreeCiv windows or linux
I have installed Ubuntu 12.04 recently, and I see the available Freeciv version on Ubuntu Software Center is 2.3.1. Is there any possibility I could install version 2.4.1 on Ubuntu 12.04?

Re: Runtime Error!
Hm. When you say "picking the AI players", what exactly are you doing? Picking nations for them? Yes, picking the nations. Hm. If this is reproducible, does it by any chance go away if you disable "Game Booster"? Yes, when I turn off "Game Booster", everything is fine....

Re: Gaaame Sooo Sloooww...
Lol, with the map of Europe (200x100 pixels), and some 15 AI players, it takes some 5 to 10 minutes for AIs to finish their turns on my computer. Very big issue.Arbogast wrote:I'm a little short of 200 turns and 'turn done' takes almost 2minutes and 30seconds, clock in hand!
