Do you research republic first? It allows you to make luxury/science/money percent 0/80/20 and your research speed will increase. Finally, I have win my first game by waging war. It was GREAT! :lol: But, may I ask how you upgrade your cities? You build city wall ofc. but anything else? When I checked my alliance's cities after game in edit mode, every city got only city wall, barracks III and war harbour(did I write this right...

How I can take only european countries?
Is it possible to take only european or ancient etc. group, where from game only takes countries randomly for bots and me? It bothers me when I am english and my enemy is someone alien.

My angle is a bit different. It is not about making the rules historical acurate. My motivation is about making the game playable and fun. Enableing triremes to sail on deep water may not have that big impact on continetal games. But in island games it do. With current rules, players may end up on ...

Yep, it is. I haven't ever played civ before I tested this Freeciv.
