Re: Where I can get playable local gtk client of freeciv 2.6.0+?

And also: Where I can get local client which use freeciv version and webperimental rulesets from freeciv-web? The webperimental ruleset is currently not available through the modpack installer tool. This makes installing it a bit more complicated. I can explain how you do it if you'll answer some q...

Re: civ2civ3 and sandbox

Which one should I modify if I work with trunk version, civ2civ3 or sandbox? The sandbox ruleset "showcases new or unusual features available in Freeciv without regard for strict game balancing, playability, AI performance, or savegame compatibility between versions." It is for experiment...

Re: Ranged/Air Attack actions

Ability to limit Attack actions to one's own theater, to prevent air units from simply using Attack on land or sea units, or sea units from using Attack on land units. I think you can implement this with ruleset unit (class) flags and action enablers. You'll need one action enabler and one user uni...

Re: Looking for idiot's guide for installing FreeCiv 2.5 in Linux Mint

But now, like I said, I can't find anything on my computer that even has a name "freeciv" (except the said shortcut on the desktop). Did you install the server? The package is probably named freeciv-server. So apt-get install freeciv-server Where are the rulesets? Check if /usr/share/game...

Re: Changes in what a 3.0 ruleset can do

Auto attack "Provoking" unit type flag. See patch #7943 The new unit type flag "Provoking" now controls what unit types should be auto attacked even if the attacker has better odds defending against it than attacking it. The old hard coded rule was to autoattack diplomats and tr...

Re: Changes in what a 3.0 ruleset can do

Auto attack blocking unit type flags. See bug #25233 Enabling the autoattack server setting makes a unit attack other units that moves to an adjacent tile if certain conditions are met. In Freeciv 2.6 a hard coded rule prevented units with the "Nuclear" unit type flag from auto attacking....
