In standard rulesets, yes. See Inline help (Help-menu -> Government -> Democracy)

You could test bypassing making the game publicly known in metaserver, and try to connect directly with the IP address.

--identity should accept numeric IP address too as parameter.

Re: Browser version does not work in Chrome

I don't know how high priority we should make this, but firefox < 11 has WebSocket prefixed with Moz -> MozWebSocket. That bites at least users of just released Debian Wheezy, which has Firefox fork IceWeasel version 10.xx.

Re: hex display

That screenshot from desktop freeciv is quite unfortunate for freeciv-web article. Freeciv-web lacks a lot of functionality of the freeciv, ability to use different tilesets or hex topologies one of them.

Re: Compiled from Source

Is there a way to only recompile the parts of the code that I am going to edit - it took a very long time to compile everything. That's what 'make' does. It compares timestamps of files to build (object file in case of compiling) and their sources. It rebuilds only if source is newer than already e...

Re: Combat Animation Not Displaying

Seems to be related to Ubuntu's gtk+ modifications. Both combat and movement animations are affected, so I tested by simply setting very high movement animation time. Either unit moved slowly, or nothing happened for a while and then unit teleported to destination. Kubuntu's freeciv + Kubuntu's libg...

Re: Combat Animation Not Displaying

I'm just downloading 64bit Kubuntu 13.04 to install in a virtual machine for testing if I can reproduce the issue with such an setup.

Re: Combat Animation Not Displaying

Oh sorry, talk about test with 2.4.0-beta2 got me to forgot that you saw this problem with 2.3 already (and 2.3 has no gtk3-client).

Re: Combat Animation Not Displaying

This does ring a bell in a sense that we had similar problem with unit movement animation not showing on gtk3-client. Are you sure you are using gtk2-client and not new gtk3 one?

Re: Another Wishlist

There's features in 2.5 development version that should suffice for 1 & 2. I've been thinking 6 for a long time, but it's not a trivial change and you are first one beside myself to request it. Isn't granary effect just what you are after in 8?
