Re: Status of freeciv-3.0

Currently planned date for 3.0 network protocol freeze is 8th of February 2020 ( http://www.hostedredmine.com/issues/656467 ) Builds made from S3_0 after that will be compatible with each other, including future 3.0.x releases. As we want to concentrate on 2.6.2 release related work at the moment, ...

Tx. The primer actually led me to:
git checkout remotes/origin/S3_0

That (checking out remote branch directly) leads you to 'detached HEAD' -state, I think. So 'git pull' won't work like it should. Check out local branch like sveinung said.

Since you are building from git checkout, you may want to configure with --enable-gitrev that includes exact git commit id to the version string.

Re: Ruleset stability in S3_0

That Bug #854983 is unlikely to affect S3_0. My guess is that it's related to unit loading/unloading action enablers that are in master only.

Re: No post-game statistics?

The 'score' view should appear when the game ends. But most likely in your game the winner is not clear yet - it's only clear that it's not your civilization - so game has not truly ended. Try '/endgame' command to the server (e.g. via client chatline) to force game to end.

Re: Fuel for submarines in LT50

There used to be a lot of behavior hardcoded to assume that fuel using unit is also an air unit, but I don't know if any such assumptions remain. The documentation should be updated. In 3.0 fuel is meant to be used for ships that need to replenish their food stock, with the new "Coast" uni...
