I was using freeciv 2.6.0b2, I'll try the 2.6.0-final which is scheduled to come out soon. (this weekend?)

The "action_started_unit_unit" event doesn't work - it's only for diplomat actions and doesn't get triggered when units attack. I have another idea to try next.

Confirmed there was a problem with libvorbis 1.3.5_1 vs 1.3.6. New fixed versions of the installers put onto Dropbox -

Tried the Barbarian Leader flag - it sort of works, but there are problems in addition to the amount being the same as a barbarian leader. The message shown says "Barbarian leader killed" and i don't think that can be changed. And it doesn't work for animals on ocean tiles (like my Kraken)...

I'm playing with the new wild animal feature in my 2.6 ruleset ( see this thread - http://forum.freeciv.org/f/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=705 ) To balance the bad effects with something good, I'd like to have killing an animal give a bonus, like when you kill a barbarian leader. But I can't figure out ...

I have now confirmed that the installer over-writes things when installing over a previous installation, as I hoped it would. So if you're re-installing, disregard my previous comments about deleting things. Newest version of the 2.6.0b2 install now also includes a bonus option of a new ruleset I've...

The number of trade routes is controlled by the ruleset. One of them starts with a limit of 2 and increases it as various things happen.

Arg - why does this have to be so difficult. Turns out the problem is that one of the pieces in the filename path is a symlink (alias) to another directory, and when it's copied to another machine it stops working. Why? I don't know, maybe some Unix expert can explain it. But I figured out a workaro...

Barbarian animals on water tiles work OK, I just tested. They killed a trireme and an explorer on a coastal tile.
