wild animals disappear

I'm playing with the new wild animal feature and found they all disappear pretty quickly after the game starts. Not what I want, and I expect most folks would agree they should stick around until they're killed, since, unlike human pirates and barbarians, animals can survive and reproduce in their n...

Re: mixing ruleset features? (specifically: civ2civ3 with variable city radius)

I have been working on a custom ruleset based mostly on the experimental ruleset with some things from the civ2civ3 ruleset, including the variable city radius and new unit class "Big Land". Also has wild animals, plague, disasters, culture victory and my own tweaks. It's still a work in p...

save the help window size

When you re-size the city display screen, the GUI remembers the new size and re-uses it when you re-open it. I'd like the help browser window to do the same.

show culture points

Playing with rulesets that implement culture points and culture victory enabled, I don't see any way to find out any nation's number of cultural points. Except the demographics screen will tell you who is #1 in culture and their number of cultural points. I think the Nations -> Intelligence -> Repor...

Re: Single city challenge

declare war only when it is too late Mostly true in my experience, but I have had a few games where I was getting seriously attacked before finishing building my space ship. production-boosting wonder Yes indeed, I always go for King Richard pretty early. I'm usually in Republic by then and really ...

Re: AI has 100% tax and forgets science

In general I prefer the classic to the civ2civ3 ruleset, but there's 2 things that I like about the civ2civ3 ruleset - the variable city radius and the Big Land units. I have made my own custom ruleset based on classic with those 2 things added (and some more of my own tweaks).

Re: Art wanted for showcasing game engine features (2.6+)

Other idea: could big animals like bears once killed give an extra food (for a round)?

Re: Art wanted for showcasing game engine features (2.6+)

Thanx to bard for the warning - turns out my squid kraken image is not free to use. So don't distribute it.

I thought it would be fun to try using both bard's octopus and my squid, but each terrain can have only one animal.

Re: wild animal killing bonus

Found out that attack will be an action in freeciv-3.0. So my script using "action_started_unit_unit" event won't work with 2.6 and will have to wait. Meanwhile, I've got an inferior pal B working. Iterate the tiles around the killed animal's tile, iterate the units on those tiles, and fin...
