Re: LongTurn Game 8 for Freeciv-web

You use a patch applied on the fly to double move rates – why not add another one for the next game to activate tech leak? Having a good process for handling suggestions from users is important so that the issues can be handled appropriately. That process involves submitting suggestions to the offi...

Re: LongTurn Game 8 for Freeciv-web

Hostedredmine is the way that you as a user can request changes to Freeciv and Freeciv-web. Please use it. This will also involve the other Freeciv developers. Freeciv-web will use the multiplayer ruleset for LongTurn games, and Hostedredmine is the way to suggest changes to that.

Re: LongTurn Game 8 for Freeciv-web

Freeciv-web uses the multiplayer ruleset. Techleak is a ruleset setting. Please submit a request to http://www.hostedredmine.com/projects/freeciv/issues if you think the multiplayer ruleset should be changed.

Cazfi: I'm not sure that anyone has requested increased spending. However, the price of server hardware goes down over time, so I have been suggesting that we regularly (eg every 3 years) replace the server to get a better deal on server costs, so that the income is spent as efficiently as possible.

There is a Discord box on play.freeciv.org where you can join. Does that work?

Re: LongTurn Game 8 for Freeciv-web

I really like the idea of web multiplayer and I will be playing one of the games in the future. Would you be interested in running an instance of the Freeciv-web server on longturn.org, to host a Longturn game there as a test? Perhaps that would increase the number of players in the games there. Wh...

Re: LongTurn Game 8 for Freeciv-web

269 players have now signed up for LongTurn Web Game #8. So very soon all the 300 players slots will be taken.

For comparison, SG1 on Longturn.org there were 16 confirmed players of a total of 20.

Re: Longturn input for freeciv-3.0

Do you think we should set popup_attack_actions to false by default? Freeciv-web now has a "Auto attack from now on" button. Added here . That stuff I listed on that lengthy message, how are they dealt with in Freeciv-web multiplayer games? (The biggest problems we have on longturn.org ga...
