Re: AmplioHexBig 2.6

rule_name must be unique, but multiple (gui) names can be the same. You just need to set rule_name explicitly in that case and not to rely on it defaulting to same value as name. Alright, apparently my understanding was exactly backwards , and I was trying to use rule_name as displayed name. I misi...

Re: Trade bonus if the city has a unit inside

This seems to work in 2.6: [effect_trade_unit] type = "Output_Add_Tile" value = 10 reqs = { "type", "name", "range", "present" "MaxUnitsOnTile", "0", "Local", FALSE "CityTile", "Center", "Local&q...

Re: Client: Problem with loading unit onto a boat

Re: Stable release notification (web feed, mail list, thread, etc.)

freeciv-announce. That gets one email per release (for the source code, so if you're after Windows packages you'll have to poll for a few days afterwards). Another (unofficial) thing that exists is debian/watch / uscan; this looks for new files popping into existence at download servers ( here's fre...

Re: Stable release notification (web feed, mail list, thread, etc.)

Our release checklist gives some idea what the current options are. Things you haven't mentioned: ⋅ The freeciv-announce mailing list is the obvious candidate. It does include beta/RC releases as well as stable ones (but only source code, not binaries), and very occasionally non-release tr...

Re: new FreeCiv mod development - NExtended

I don't seem to have said it already, so: these are so good! Would you be willing to share the 3D models used to generate the bitmaps? I would love to see a standard building set based on these in Freeciv proper, but there's obviously a massive amount of work left to cover the rest of the buildings ...

These are all great!

I've created a wiki page to try to track these and progress them into the main distribution; see new thread.

[meta] Tileset clearing house

I've created a wiki page to track selected art and unit requests that have been posted here and might be candidates for including in the standard distribution: wiki/User:JTN/Tileset clearinghouse The idea is to try to push to get some units in all the formats needed (as previously discussed here ), ...
