Re: [2.6] Augmented ruleset modpack
Hi, just a note... If you want the wind turbines, there's a finished rendering in the original thread: http://forum.freeciv.org/f/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=75568 You're better off using that than cutting it from the black square ;-) If you're thinking about a windmill as an alternative, Wesnoth has o...

Re: VladimirSlavik graphics (was: Dredger graphic)
If renaming the thread helped, let's do it - although is there really any common theme?

Re: Combat, bombardment, destruction and damage
Is the bombardment mechanic itself immutable? One could just limit the total damage caused by a bombardment attack and then it's a question if it's spread across 2 units or 20 units on the one tile...

Ha, feedback! Thank you, I'll see about enlarging the tank The circled items are gunner and that thing where you stick your head and look. If the tank is going to be larger, the additional detail should help with that.
Note to self - technical needs larger wheels, too.

Re: VladimirSlavik graphics (was: Dredger graphic)
I have started a Github pull request and added a ticket at HRM: https://github.com/freeciv/freeciv/pull/9 http://www.hostedredmine.com/issues/707011 Please note that this is the first time I have seen the freeciv data, and I have not had the chance to really test this yet. Any feedback at all welcome.

Re: Make tutorial more elegant
I think Lachu means the freeciv server which you need for any game, even local? The word URL is somewhat unfortunate, as it makes one think about web servers instead.

Re: Civilization III for free
GOG just had a sale (still has?) where you can get Civ 3 + 4 for something like 6 €. The Civ 3 download was about 600 MB, I think?

Re: Math of Freeciv
Computers have been born with an inherent disdain for symbolic math: Integer and floating point maths are outright masochistic if you care for exact numbers. Forget the nice identities that the theory of mathematics gives you - embrace the 101% that makes it work

Re: About the community
Hard to say easily. FWIW, I used to contribute to Wesnoth a lot (maintainer of one localization team) so I saw the dynamics and whatnot firsthand for about seven years. Freeciv is a fundamentally different type of game, so many of my points may not be applicable. Let's see... - The game had both str...
