This affects gameplay in multiuser a lot. There's many times where selecting 20-odd different units from different places would accelerate an attack to limit human responses to it.

I've never really liked the unit selection box, but in a multi-player game, it is unworkable. I need to select several different units on a tile; not all of them; and not all of the same type. (Example: with a city that has 20 units, select just the 4 Elite howitzers and 3 green Mech. Inf. and 1 Spy...

Bug in Beta 3 installer
It looks like you are using an installer for gtk that is incompatible with the latest Windows 10. The installer would just exit without an error message. I finally tried Compatibility Troubleshooter and it worked using Compatibility Mode for Windows 8. The bad installer is at: Freeciv-3.0.0-beta3-ms...

Look at the attached file. There is plenty of room in the upper right for something, like the Supported Units list.
Also note the cropped and difficult to read Buildings/Wonders
Not shown is the bottom section, which is free for possibly putting the Change Production menu list.

City Dialog issues
I just got back into playing a tad bit.
