Developer Documentation?

I'm interested to have a look to the code from a developing perspective. Is there any wiki especially dedicated to documenting some of project and code structures? Are there other kinds of dev docus?

Re: Specialist org to improve?

I wonder what the calculated worker distribution does if you have switched off governors (which is the default case). Definitely there is something going on because worker distributions seems recalculated from time to time and the choices, though not perfect, appear to be quite meaningful. I have ne...

Specialist org to improve?

I played a little with 2.5.0 and noted down several options to improve the program, from my hypocritical point of view, of course. Here I bring in only two options concerning organisation of specialists (citizens). 1. Recalculation of worker distribution, including specialist reduction where possibl...

GUI Details

Some enhancements of the GUI (I use GTK2/3) continue to dropp into my mind. I present some of them here. Drop 1) Can you make it so that the "Messages" tab is refilled with the content of the entire current day when a turn is saved and a new session of the game is started again? Drop 2) Is...

Updates in Metaserver

The developers have given a lot of energy into online multiplayer gaming, though I still have to get the chance to observe a running game beyond 4000 BC. ;) Nevertheless some small enhancements might be beneficial for the surface. 1) Server Overview: Add a column "round" or "year"...

Error Report

Where can I report a game error?
I'm running 2.4.3 and have a savegame where a Worker is blocked from moving a all because of control zones (which appear to be all around it). Moreover the worker disappears from sight when his turn is finished. I can send the savegame if requested.

Re: Best settings for limiting AI aggressiveness

I confirm there is a problem, from human player's perspective. ;) AI diplomacy and playing strength are at a state "broken" in my eyes. The current behaviour when you start AI level "Simple" is like you would expect it in "Unbeatable". This shouldn't be. Perhaps the dev...

Re: Why is "no killstack" bad?

"Killstack" is one of the rules I'm strggling with. There is argument for and against it. What makes it bad is that it is totally contra-intuitive and lacking realism. The rule also makes it very hard to conquer cities and land troops by boat on the shore. In reality it makes a difference ...
