Re: Glaciers and Frozen Water

Here is some basic frozen water for the trident tileset. It is just a pallette shift of the trident's tundra. I release it any under whatever license it needs to be. If you want to credit me, you can credit me as "The Square Cow". http://s28.postimg.org/p1n01hxel/pack_ice.png I am not sure...

Re: scenario

There is a map editor built into the game. If you don't need different kinds of units, or nation, or buildings, that would be enough. Start a game, and then go edit->editor mode. If you want different kinds of units, or nations, or buildings, see the ruleset editing manual: http://freeciv.wikia.com/...

As far as I know, connecting resources with road to a city doesn't do any special. Building road on the resource, depending on the tile type, sometimes will give you one more trade.

Re: A diplomatic game flaw

If the AI would treat enemies-of-their-enemies as friends and friends-of-friends as friends, then the problem would resolve because nation A and nation B could ally more likely. The world would tend to become two large alliances fighting to the death.

Re: Bunch of beginner questions

As far as I know there isn't a way to zoom out, however if you use a different tileset that is smaller you will be able to see more. To change look in Game>Option>Local Client.

Re: Conquering enemy cities

If nothing else works, you can always build nukes and just nuke the city. Be sure to have a fast unit near by though, so you can conquer the city in the same turn as you set off the nuke.

Generally my strategy is to attack using a massive army of units all focused on a single city.

Re: SOY NUEVO

You can also use the num-pad to move units if you want. You may need to press numLock enable it.

louis94, thank you for translating his post into English for us feeble monoglots.

Re: Better Way of Defeating Opponents

If you play a game with king (to do so just add a king unit to the starting units), then this problem won't happen. However, I do realize that this doesn't really do what you want.

Re: Freeciv-2.5 art status

I like (square) trident personally, so I would rather we didn't drop off support for it. One of the reasons for two different hex tilesets is to support both kinds of hex maps that Freeciv supports.
