Re: how to edit a "real world layout" scenario
Oh ok .. I don't have the GTK client, only SDL2, it's a Mac build..
Damn .. No other way?
How did people make/edit scenarios before the gtk editor existed??

Making Barbarians nations appear only a specific tech discovery
Is making Barbarian nations appear only a specific tech discovery possible? I'd like to have 2 or 3 Barbarians nations in the game (a custom civ2civ3 ruleset), each with unique nations, flags, names and unit graphic, etc.. I'd like them to appear only after certain techs have been discovered by the ...

Re: Compiling freeciv, use of config.h
Ooh OK thanks.. I'll take a look.. Basically I'm looking to compile the latest "proper" Xaw client version, and customise some rulesets, units etc from there.. Ideally, I'd like the latest, greatest version with (in order of importance): - the old Xaw client - AI diplomacy - building/impro...

Re: is freeciv a 32-bit app? will it run on macOS 10.15+?
Jut an FYI to anyone building on Macs: I was able to get the latest Freeciv to compile in Mac OS Mojave (10.14.6).. Here's the instructions I saved for myself: # ON MAC: # # (note, change the package ICU and SDL version numbers for # what you have on your system..) # Requirements: icu4c sdl2 sdl2_im...

Re: Compiling freeciv, use of config.h
Hmm OK thanks.. there must be something weird on the distro I'm using, as I definitely can't find a config.h once the configure script is done... I'll look into the logs and maybe hack the configure script if needed.. Thanks. EDIT: As a side note for anyone else building old Freecivs, and relevant t...

Compiling freeciv, use of config.h
Hi all, This is my first post, sorry if it's off topic, in the wrong place, or too outdated to be answered. But I'm having problems compiling older versions of Freeciv, on Linux (a distro based on Ubuntu Focal x64). I am trying to compile some older versions which use the Xaw client. Each version I ...
