Re: (autokey, Linux only) Script to move Messages window on 2nd monitor
minor edits, timings hard to nail, seems to be dependent of general CPU usage, just run it twice if it fails # problem: # when using floating windows, due to shifting window focus inbetween turns and user actions, # the floating messages windows is frequently closed by mistake # Re-opening, dragging...

(autokey, Linux only) Script to move Messages window on 2nd monitor

spreadsheet with basic civ2civ3 (2.6.2) data tables
I'm copying the base food, gov, combat etc. numbers out from the README to a Google Drive spreadsheet for quicker reference and perhaps some simple resource calculation later on. For anyone interested here's a copy of the sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oWT9zkmJXHWRE8k0i9pnaOcosVF8yIH...

You get all my maps, advances, vision, some cities, all idle workers and most of the gold. Embassy obviously. I've had a lot of challenging fun with this great game. The learning curve is basically perfect no matter how ambitious your gameplay is. Atm. my pref. game is a civ2civ3 fork, geared toward...

Re: Channging default save game location
If you want to run everything directly from the client, there's no way to change the savegame location, but... 1) Savegame location is controlled by server commandline parameter 2) When client spawns internal server for itself to use, it gives the server that savegame location you're seeing 3) Ther...
