Transport equivalent for ironclads

A steampowered transport ship as equivalent to ironclads would be a good thing. The technological gap between galleons and modern transports is in my view to big.

The vikings start in the North on an island but I woudnt speak of an invasion. But nice idea. I will probably test it.

Both don't contradict. Art makes things more appealing. Compare a building largely built out of prefabricated concrete slabs to a Belle-epoque house...

Or do you just want the visuals with no substantive effect on the gameplay? As someone who creates scenarios visuals play a big role specially when you are trying to get close to reality. But mangroves dont have to be necessarily like swamps, they could for example not give defense bonus unlike swa...

Perhaps we should focus on this specific problem: increasing the contrast between plains and grassland?


Possible but a map grid also helps when you are litterally confronted with an ocean of tiles and all are the same colour so I would still go on with the grid.
