Re: Question for you who copy sandbox

I didn't see this thread earlier and it seems interesting, but I must admit that I don't quite understand the question. There is "a sandbox" with ideas somewhere?

Some details seem to be missing from GTK 2.6.4 client

After installing Windows client, I realised that it seems to be lacking some things that 2.6.3 had, namely, HP bars on units in the Present Units frame in the city window. Also, unit status (Sentry or Fortified).

LT63 Sim starting in a week - some VERY new features!

LT63Sim is scheduled to start on Thursday, April 29th. (As always, slight delays are possible.) The game will be using the Sim ruleset, whose goal is running a more realistic simulation of human history than is the case with other Civ rulesets. There is an immense number of new features and the whol...

Clarification on "MaxUnitsOnTile", please?

Did I get it wrong or this really allow putting a soft limit on the number of units on the same tile?

As in "if there are more than X units on this tile, reduce defence by Y %"?

From what I understand there originally were many sites which implemented the source code of the Freeciv Web project, but eventually people started converging down into the freecivweb.org (OP corr...

Re: Personality type and ruleset preference

I once did a deep dive into the personality type testing thing, and my conclusion was that they are mostly worthless junk. The MBTI system is the most commonly seen and used one, and Wikipedia says about it - Independent sources have called the test "little more than a Chinese fortune cookie&q...

Re: Personality type and ruleset preference

Right, I completely missed the "which ruleset do you prefer" part :D Well, obviously, I prefer the Sim ruleset :D Right now I'm having the most fun in LT56 because it doesn't all boil down topreparations for war, but there is also constant city placement and city replacement considerations ...
