Re: 'Resplendent' Ruleset (expansion)
Hi Rob, I haven't worked on this project in a bit - and I left off in the midst of making it 2.6 compatible - so unfortunately installation is going to be rough and relatively manual. Feel free to grab and repurpose any of the assets, of course, and I'll do my best to answer any questions you have.

Re: 'Resplendent' Ruleset (expansion)
Last year, just before wrapping up a season of working on this project, I sought and obtained permissions from Fairline, Tanelorn, Broken_Erika, and CurtSIbling over at the CivFanatics Civ 2 Scenario League (http://sleague.civfanatics.com/index.php?title=Main_Page) to use their incredible artwork (w...

Re: River boats/ships
I just assumed there was this cool ship called a "barque" that I knew nothing about.Wahazar wrote:Of course it should be Barges, river flat boats, not Barques. Thanks for correction.

Reducing scope again to keep only the traits themselves and a single unique unit per nation, and adding the condition that it has to replace a default unit in the tech tree, which shall remain untouched. I've also decided to use bard's excellent civ2civ3_earth as my baseline, while I work on tools t...

Re: Maelstroms, shipwrecks and Godzilla
These look awesome. I was envisioning something half-sunken (or, at any rate, more sunken), but for a "run-aground" version i think those are terrific!XYZ wrote:Made two shipwrecks (one without water). Could work as a coastal hut...

Re: RoundSquare tileset
All I see, Hans, is that you're working on a hex version. YUSSSSSS! Also, seriously, aspect ratios of hexagons? You're such a nerd! Keep it up!

Re: RoundSquare tileset
City food/prod/trade output is indeed clamped to 9 for display, if greater. Tilesets are expected to provide all sprites 0-9. There's no provision for any more yield than that. Still not sure, if tile output is clamped to 9 for display only, or also for real output? Only the display is "capped...

Re: RoundSquare tileset
How do people feel about the red-pips on the 1-food tiles? -Is it confusing? -Does it show "this tile costs 1 food surplus to work"? -Did you not really notice? -Would you prefer simple green-pips that just show the total food output rather than the surplus? It took me a lot of time to fi...

Re: Is there a Utility to convert Civ2 saves/scenarios to FreeCiv?
You know what, Hans, I ran my mouth off about how impossible this would be and then I found this old thread on Apolyton. Guy converts a mongols scenario to freeciv, and it actually started up. No clue what version he was playing with, but modifying this to work with 2.6 has GOT to be way easier than...
