Re: A few ideas relating to units

I remember having this problem and trying the "Unload all" command and it didn't work on the ally's units. But maybe I wasn't in a city at the time. It seems to me to be weird (and maybe even an AI bug) that an AI ally would ever load their units on your ship. I can't imagine loading any o...

Re: MP2-Caravel officially released on freecivweb.org

This is great, as someone who is into rulesets I like a lot of the ideas. Thanks to all involved. Question - I would like to see the actual ruleset files (units.ruleset, script.lua, etc.). The https://www.freecivweb.org site has a link "Developers" https://github.com/Lexxie9952/fcw.org-ser...

Re: Art required for freeciv proper (3.0)

Playing with the 3.0.0-beta2 - there's a new action enabler "Heal Unit", and the sandbox ruleset has a new unit "Mechanic" which can use that action to heal other units. But it doesn't have a graphic for its graphic tag "u.mechanic" (graphic_alt = "u.engineers"...

Re: New Freeciv Website: Tactics&Triumph

I 've made a couple of rulesets which you are welcome to use. See this thread - http://forum.freeciv.org/f/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=91837

You can download them from here - http://forum.freeciv.org/f/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=91837&start=10#p103877

Re: new rulesets offerred

I have .modpack files for both - these are version 2.6. Working on updating to version 3.0. The dino ruleset is based mostly on the experimental ruleset with some things from the civ2civ3 ruleset, including the variable city radius and new unit class "Big Land". Also has wild animals, plag...

Re: new rulesets offerred

I've just discovered that the game.ruleset file can have a section e.g. [tileset] prefered="dino2" This means I don't have to use a modified amplio2.tilespec file, so I've reorganized my stuff to make it easier to install. Just download a zip file, un-zip it, and put the 3 files contained ...

Re: Mac installers now available

Just added to the Dropbox - a 2.6.4 version with gtk3.22 client. It requires Big Sur (MacOS 11.x). I'm working on a 2.6.4 version for MacOS 10.x. Yes Dropbox is confusing to use. :( I don't know how the internationalization/translation works. I know strings internal to freeciv have translations, but...

Re: Add zoom to the GTK client

On Mac, 2.6.4 gtk2 client, + (not the keypad +) zooms in, - zooms out, many levels.
gtk3 client similar, but only 2 levels.
The help browser mentions it under controls.
