Re: Building requirement(s): is it possible to have a OR b?

I have vague ideas (freeciv-3.2 at earliest) about extending the last point so that e.g. terrain and extra could provide conceptually same flag, that one could then require. We have some custom effects, maybe as a generic solution we can make a requirement like "EffectValueMin", "Use...

Re: Building requirement(s): is it possible to have a OR b?

I tried that and it didn't work. Having _nreq_ and (not A and not B <=> not (A or B)) might be worth trying. It never worked since nreqs were OR-ed. So are obsoleted_by; they may be negated individually. What I wanted was for a city to be able to build a Factory if there is the tech present (Indust...

Re: Building requirement(s): is it possible to have a OR b?

In the future, building requirements will be replaced by city-performed action enablers that may be multiple. Currently, they are not, alas. Try using negative requirements (not A and not B <=> not (A or B)). Try playing with obsoletion requirements (they ar or-ed).

Re: Anonymous bug reports and other tickets to osdn temporarily disabled

Are there some other tools for well-keeping? E.g. enabling captcha for anons? (btw, maybe some more informative recent events list may be configured?)

*sets without inatallation

Currenrly, you need to inatall rulesets and nation sets for any game we host, and tilesets for any game we play. While the number of *sets that we can install has been lifted in the novel versions, we still have to do it even if we don't want to use it out of some very scpecific cases. It also would...

Re: Upcoming 3.0.0-beta3

I'd prefer finish damage calculator and get_defender() algorithm for limited rounds before the final release, I already know the formulation just have few time to code...

Re: Where, in the ruleset files, is defined whether a trade route can be established here ?

The minimal trade distance is a game setting, you find it either in the "Economics" tab of game settings or at the end of game.ruleset. Diplomatic and continent-sharing aspects of trade routes are defined in game.ruleset in [trade] section. Also, there are effects "Max_Trade_Routes&qu...

Re: Playing campaigns

^ File (and network) access are disabled for lua in Freeciv 2.6, for security reasons (there was a vulnerability at one time where anyone able to issue lua cmd's to the server could overwrite files.) I'm not sure that reading the final sav of the prior level would be worth the potential security fi...

Re: Playing campaigns

An idea for v.3.1 data transfer, if we have no special tool for it then: just unzip level 1 final sav into level 2's luadata.txt. Actually, some way to load data from an arbitrary specfile (even better if not one per game) would be a great tool, and a really working one for this case if we could aut...

Re: Playing campaigns

An amazing approach! I myself am not great in scenario making but it's interesting to see how far you can get with what we currently have. Yes, the lack of ability of setting the team of a player on creation is pitiful. The diplomacy control (disabling for specific nations) happens on ruleset level,...
