New game, LT44, starting in about 6-8 weeks

http://longturn.org/game/LT44/ LT44 is a game with 23h turns and it's based on longturn.org rulesets. It will be a two team game. It will probably be continents based but islands were also proposed and that's also possible if that option becomes popular. The game will start in the end of May or in t...

Re: Why do you play Freeciv-web vs Freeciv?

Back in the days I remember how some people, including me, were sitting around one computer + Civilization I session and talking about what could and should be done with the nation. It quickly turned into a debate about how people would do against each other and what kind of economic or military str...

Re: Clarifying relationships: Freeciv.org, Freeciv-Web, Longturn.org

Few comments and stuff about this. There is really no organization structure in traditional sense for longturn.org because there are so few people doing the stuff. The idea is that people can participate and do some stuff to help with the games. Currently it's akfaew who takes care of the technical ...

Re: Clarifying relationships: Freeciv.org, Freeciv-Web, Longturn.org

Yes, there is really no Freeciv development with longturn.org. We are basically using the software so that people can play online against other human players on games that will last very long time. In addition to that the only "development" is pretty much modifying the ruleset files for th...

Giving more bonus if a new city is further for the capital

We had this more experimental game (LT40) where we were trying out all the crazy ideas people have had over the years. It was quite fun for the most part and one idea for the follow up game is creating a true colony city or cities. For this it would make sense to give the city bonus based on the dis...

Re: I can not start the game in LT41.

We will probably start a new game at longturn.org relatively soon. In maybe 2-3 weeks. I'm just not sure what to call it since LT42 was already dedicated to a specific game and it's already in GIT with that number. Then again... The numbering of the games doesn't really need to be that rigid.

Re: Where to get older freeciv versions?

Lots of issues is of course a matter of taste. Maybe just more people asking about that stuff than before. I think there were few more users asking about some weird behavior but I can't seem to find what it was about. Maybe duplicate issues or not. I'll try to see if anyone reports about that again....

Where to get older freeciv versions? [Trouble with 2.5.10]

I got this question on the LT41 game chat and don't know the answer: *** I installed 2.4.5 but it was not compatible...where can I find a 2.5 version other than 2.5.10? not listed on website I really want to be able to resize my city windows *** I'm using Windows 2.5.7 and no problems. Seems that 2....
