Re: Fair-play and multi-accounting

The real solution might be to reduce the number of slots in LT games to say… 40? No, because you can't be sure who will become an idler and who won't. You'd end up again with 80% idlers and 20% active people, only this time that 20% would be 8 players. You may be right, but I think it would be wort...

Re: Fair-play and multi-accounting

As long as there are plenty of open slots, and anybody can easily create an account and join a game in progress, then this problem will inevitably exist to some extent . Making it more inconvenient to create multiple accounts would help One relatively easy thing would be to require an email verifica...

Re: General tech (trading, leak, upkeep, loss) topic

It seems like most people want at least some degree of tech trading, but the game might benefit if we were to rein it in a little. Here's a couple ideas that I haven't seen mentioned on this forum… limit how much tech can be given at one time: e.g. you can only give 1 tech every XX turns. That way y...

Re: LongTurn support in Freeciv-web

Is there a way to withdraw shared vision from a player once it's been given? If not, there should be!

This probably applies to all freeciv-web versions, not just longturn.

Why disable trading tech? Just curious.

Re: Wish/priority/fix list

EDIT: Of course, my original thought was more that new players (to freeciv and/or long turn) might join a long turn game already-in-progress, start with no useful units and then just get frustrated and never return. In other words, if that's your first experience with the game, you're probably not ...

Re: Wish/priority/fix list

Trying to discuss strategy among your allies with the character limit of a tweet is very annoying. I would prefer it if the people responsible for development moved all player chat to a new in-game tab like with research and nations so that it can take up the entire screen without being cumbersome....

Re: Wish/priority/fix list

A player with military units is not without hope; they could conquer a city and start again. This isn't an issue in the current Longturn games, b/c you don't start with any military units, hence all your military units end up requiring a city for support. Theoretically though, you're right. Actuall...
